Seat Belts
- Compulsory in front seats and rear seats if fitted.
- Child safety harnesses are compulsory for 3 to 12 year olds.
Motorways
- Motorway (Autostrades) signs are coloured green.
- Most require the payment of a toll payable in cash or by "Viacard" which is obtainable from toll booths.
- Viacards can be used in automatic and manual booths and must be purchased with cash.
Drinking and Driving
The level of alcohol in the blood must be below 0.8 g/l.
